About my “Mystery” Turquoise:

Approximately 10 years ago, one of my really good sources of turquoise and a good friend called me and said “you got any money?” I said…..”Why?…..”
He said “I am buying part of an old stash of my uncles stones, and I don’t have enough to get it all. So if you want some killer stuff at a decent price, send them some money and come get it next time you’re here.” Of course, I said “Sure! What is it?” He said “well, it’s a lot of stuff.”
I got really excited, because these kinds of opportunities don’t come around that often.
I said “which mines?” Well, probably Carico Lake, Turquoise Mountain, Orvil Jack, Blue Gem, Darling Darlene, prob some Morenci and #8,…. maybe a little bit of other stuff too.”

I’m thinking that it must be a TON, and I sure didn’t have that much money.
I said “How much of each?” He said “That’s the thing…it’s all mixed up. Probably 10-15 pounds. You won’t know what it is…really until you cut it…and then maybe it’ll be obvious…”.

Being a collector and a bit OCD, I HATE not knowing exactly where each stone came from. I said “why is it all mixed up?”

Evidently, he would drink a little too much sometimes and would unload bag after bag onto a table, dunk it in some water, and look at “the pretty colors”….. and not put it back. So what I was buying was a group of the stones that were dumped onto the floor or a table and were never put back into the bag or bucket that they were dumped out of.

This is where OCD and turquoise junkie don’t mix. But the junkie won, and I bought the stuff.

And I am so glad I did. It has been like a kid at Halloween who gets home and is excited to find out what is in his bag! There are some beautiful stones and many are quite unusual. Some would be easy to identify for a turquoise collector, and others not easy at all. But I am happy to offer these goodies to you guys. I hope that you enjoy looking at them as much as I have:).

Guarantee:

If the stone/stones do not completely fulfill your expectations, simply repackage them in the package I sent them to you in, put a new address label on the front and return to me for a refund of your purchase.

One Note:

I have done my best to get the most accurate representation of the stone/stones. I have noticed that the photos look slightly different on different computers, and with different lighting, etc. I take the photos under natural light with a quality camera and with no alterations. I can assure you that the photographs do not do any stone true justice in my mind. I am selling these from my personal collection. I have been a collector for most of my adult life. What I am selling is part of my collection of turquoise stones from a variety of U.S. Mines.

Check my other items frequently. I will be adding to the inventory regularly.

I will ship within 2 business days of your purchase.

Thank You!
